I was asking one of the OB's about this prenatal vit mentioned on LACTNET
with a higher B6 in it. I can't remember it's name now, other than it started
with a "P". The OB told me it is by prescription and is only given out in the
first trimester. It has a higher B6 but no iron. So the last 2 trimesters the
patient is changed back to the regular prenatal vitamins.
So, the case that was brought up here on LACTNET recommending the mother to
continue on this new prenatal vit postpartum because the mother is
breastfeeding does not make since because the mother should be off this vit well before
she delivers.
