I want to encourage all the physicians on Lactnet that what you say to
moms does matter. My cousin in law is expecting multiples, and went to
interview a pediatrician. He encouraged her to breastfeed them, and
even had solutions for the minor problem she was anticipating. She
called me to see if his information was correct, and by the time we
finished talking, she was convinced to breastfeed the babies when they
are born. She did not feel that this pediatrician is the one for her,
but she did take his words to heart. (And I took the opportunity to
tell her to get Karen's book, NOW.)
