Hello people,
I hope I'm going to make a lot of people happy today with the following. The publishers of the journal "Birth" are offering free online access to the journal for the next 30 days!!!!!!!
It is an superb journal and has many good quality research articles about breastfeeding and worth going systematically through each issue. We have a subscription and I came across a really good article on oxytocin release immediately after brith and how the infants hand movements over the breast and nipple cause the release of oxytocin. I was going to post on it but now you can go read yourselves if interested (do it, its a great article! - Postpartum maternal oxytocin release by newborns: effects of infant hand massage and sucking / 2001 vol 28 issue 1).
Here is the link I received today:
Now you can find this same wealth of information on Synergy , Blackwell Publishing's premiere online content service, for easy access at home, at work, or whenever you need it. I invite you to access the journal free for the next 30 days to stay abreast of the extensive array of research and review articles from current and past issues of Birth. Activate your trial by either using the following link: http://www.blackwell-synergy.com/servlet/useragent?func=showMySynergy&type=access&tokenValue=Birth%20Journal%20ETrial%202004 and following the on-screen instructions for the registration process or follow the manual instructions in the box at the end of this email.
Happy reading!
