Thank you, Kate, for making that point.  I owe about 90% of any
communication skills I have to La Leche League's training and encouragement
in that area.  Also, much of my sense of how breastfeeding may proceed in
the weeks and months after hospital discharge comes from being a Leader.  I
continue to find LLL's written materials to be top-notch or unsurpassed on
most topics, and use them a lot at work.  I also consider that LLL has
helped to ground me in a sense of breastfeeding as a human relationship.  I
would never have become an IBCLC without LLL.
