I've searched the archives regarding this topicwithout getting specifically what I'd like. I am going to try to change policy once again and need good evidenced based reasoning in black and white. After helping a mom to pump yesterday and watching her tears I would like to try again to change our protocolwhich states that breastfeeding mothers do not breastfeed when there is a fever greater than 100.4. This particular mom had chorioamnionitis and baby is a NICU baby. I also looked at ACOG and AAP website (is there a protocol from either of these two organizations or how about ABM?) If anyone was successful in getting this all too common policy changed , which reference did you find most helpful?
TIA
