Well, I have to say that my toddlers might well have nursed 3 times in 10
minutes at the doctor's office on any given visit. They always nursed
frequently if they were feeling ill because it was the best form of comfort
they had. They also tended to nurse frequently in stressful situations - and
going to see a doctor would count as stressful for most toddlers. So this
doesn't surprise me at all, and I wouldn't think it indicated a need for
mother-led weaning.
