I do believe there is a high level or correlation but. of course,
not always.  If she is a first time mom who may have developed a
great "quick clean" system where she can keep the house looking
great with little effort, it's hard to judge whether this will
affect her mothering style.  Baby isn't old enough (meaning self
mobile enough) to directly impact whether things stay where you put
them and just how much the house gets "messed up" between
cleanings.  If she has other children and a "Martha Stewart" house,
then I would definitely worry.  These moms are more likely to have
the attitude that this baby will not upset the previous lifestyle.
It also may be the husband who demands a spotless house which may be
indicative of the degree of support he offers for her breastfeeding.

I'm not so sure it is another issue.  A mom who believes there
should be "a place for everything and everything in its place" and
maintaining that is a top priority in her life will be more likely
to seek out parenting advice that offers easy, guaranteed answers
and quick fixes.
