Very thoughtless of me not to say ... I am also sorry to hear that your father was not given better information, Tracy ... my grandfather and mother were/are obese and I don't know about him, but she gets information from me often ... she usually ignores it, but she really can't claim ignorance and I also hope that she will use the information to eventually think about what she is doing to her own health.

I never even thought to look at a can of animal formula ... has anyone thought of sending one of these labels to the various people we've been doing letter-writing campaigns to (Tommy Thompson, etc.?) and pointing this out? That statement "more value is placed on the health of a puppy or kitten than a human infant" ... I think that is very powerful ... and they may (like me) not even realize it's there!
