Really Winnie?
This WAS the advice given to me by my pedi when I had my first, 18 years ago
in Wilm, Delaware.
As a matter of fact he and I had the oppurtunity to discuss this
recommendation *many* years later when I was back in the area visiting and needing to see
him with my asthmatic son. It was quite funny; as soon as I mentioned that
I had become a lactation consultant he cringed and actually referred back to
that advice as "pitiful"! He has since become VERY well versed AND married an
LC- how about that !
I told him "don't worry, I didn't listen to it anyway!" As consolation, I
also mentioned the fact that another of his comments regarding the fact that my
precocious dd at 6mths of age had a vocabulary of 6 words was "due to the
breastfeeding", made my day!
