If you're getting recommendations from docs or anyone else that don't
sound right, get a second opinion. Over the years, I have become a big
believer in second opinions and we have saved ourselves a lot of
expense, procedures and learned a lot by seeking second opinions on
many medical issues.
there are many good doctors out there and many legitimate ways to
practice. There are also many good parents out there and many
legitimate good ways to raise kids. Getting a second opinion or
switching docs does not mean necessarily that they are a bad doctor or
that you are a bad parent, could be just bad chemistry, different
approaches, philosophy etc.
OK off my soap box now.
