Not routinely, much to my dismay, but we do use Toradol after c/s with our breastfeeding mothers. I wish it were routine. the nurses still have to ask either anestesia or OB for the order. So some do and others dont. Of course you can tell a big difference for the patient.

I have been asked to post this question to the list: Do other hospitals
routinely use Toradol for breastfeeding mothers? I work as a lactation
consultant in a hospital and outpatient lactation center, and pharmacy is
aware of the recommendations made in both Hale and Briggs, but the pharmacy
would like to know if other hospitals are using Toradol.
Thank you.
