If this is mom's first baby and she is still breastfeeding frequently she
might want to consider delaying the decision until after full weaning and
she knows how her breasts will react. I am currently pregnant with my fifth
child, nursing through pregnancy, but have "dried up" twice between children
and each time my breast size shrank by at least a cup from my pre-pregnancy
size. I have also run across mothers with a much more dramatic decrease --
but of course it is balanced out by those with an equally dramatic permanent
increase ;-).
