I wonder if the original yeast infection isn't totally cleared up and/or the
original plug is still lurking there. It's my understanding that both yeast
and plugs can cause inflammation in the duct which in turn continues to make
Mom more vulnerable to more plugs since the inflammation narrows the diameter of
the duct and makes the inside more 'sticky'.
Maybe the Mom's physician would agree to give a longer course of Difflucan
and/or treat the inflammation with ibuprophen. Meanwhile Mom should treat it in
the traditional way you treat a plug.
