Through the midwifery research list I subscribe to, I learned today that
there is a list being established for people supporting the Nestlé boycott.
It is to be administered by Mike Brady of Baby Milk Action, it seems. In
light of the massive support to keep the BF awareness campaign moving on
schedule and as planned, I thought there might be Lactnetters who would be
interested in this list as well.
Mike writes:
"I met someone from the Italian boycott group last week and we compared
notes on how the Nestlé anti-boycott team in both our countries says: "The
boycott is only active here. Nestlé staff in other countries are amazed to
hear there is a boycott". As with its baby food marketing malpractice,
Nestlé hopes people won't communicate across national boundaries to find out
what is really going on. This group is one way to promote communication."

There are various options: digests, individual posts, reading at the
archives website - something to meet every need. More info follows when you
write to the e-mail address above.
cheers

who is sure there will be a need for political activism for a long time to
come
