Hello Lactnetters:
I am working on a story for a national publication on the issue of
breastfeeding and breast cancer. Specifically, I am exploring the topic
of why most women in the U.S. are not made aware of how breastfeeding
impacts risk for the disease, although we *are* instructed to reduce
our risk via diet, exerise, weight management, etc... I am interviewing
major researchers in the field of breast cancer, as well as the leading
breast cancer education organizations.
If you know of some particularly compelling information on
breastfeeding as it relates to breast cancer risk that you think might
illuminate this topic, or if you have information or
personal/professional insights into why breastfeeding is not generally
included in mass-distributed breast cancer prevention campaigns in the
U.S., please drop me an email at [log in to unmask] I would love to hear
from you.
Thanks-
