I was surprised to hear that you sent my post to Mary Enig.  It's the first I
have heard about it.  I am not surprised by Mary Enig's position.  She is
part of the organization called the American Oil Chemists Society ( She is their
newsletter editor).  This Society has such corporate donors to their
symposiums as Mead Johnson, Unilever, Kraft, etc.   I believe even Martek Bioscience is
involved with this organization.

Their position would of course dictate that they would not be very supportive
of breastfeeding if push came to shove.
