It's not very easy, takes a lot of work and resolve.  Years ago had a mom
who nursed first few weeks, then went to bottles and every conceivable
available formula to donated breast milk (back in those days you could   :-)
At four months she decided she would try to relactate. To tell the truth we
didn't even know about "relactating" back then.  She offered breast and he
sucked so I said you can do it. We didn't have SNS's then, just used eye
dropper.  It took her a full 3 months to work up to baby's total needs.  And
I know it wasn't easy. Real strain on family (4 or 5 other kids etc.)  It's
not something to undertake lightly/casually, would possibly only lead mom to
one more "failure" to feel bad about.  I don't suggest it unless I see a
