Christine writes: "One nurse made the comment that she would never allow
her
babies to drink milk from another woman! Even the pediatrician gave me a
funny look when I told her about
human milk banks and how she could write a prescription for a baby in
need. She questioned the safety of using donor milk and seemed skeptical
of the idea, but she has no problem with these new formulas."
Pam replies:
<Funny that some people have no problem giving milk that comes from an
animal
but are grossed out by the idea of giving milk from another human...>
Nor probably would that same pediatrician or mother look askance if that
premie needed a transfusion from a blood bank!
