All the other discussion on this topic aside, when I read Nikki's
original post my first thought was, "here we are again, with any
breastfeeding, even once a day for only a couple of weeks, being labeled
breastfeeding." These children, in our culture, are extremely likely to
have been also receiving some, possibly a lot, of formula, but this
grandmother only knew about the breastfeeding. I think this is what
Nikki meant when she hoped the campaign on the risks of not
breastfeeding would help people understand the difference between
"exclusive breastfeeding" vs. "any breastfeeding". Did I understand this
correctly, Nikki?
