When I get questioned about the value of "any breastfeeding" vs. exclusive
breastfeeding, I tell the mom about the adult uses of breastmilk that we are
aware of. Adults with intestinal disorders, Chron's disease, liver
transplants, etc. who are given 4-8 oz. (120-240 mls.) of breast milk to
drink daily and show marked improvement.
If 4 oz. per day can make a difference in an adult-sized body, how much more
benefit there will be in baby-sized body!
