I was thinking this too, but her "symptoms," except for low production, can occur during first months of lactation. Not unusual for moms to experience some hot flashes or night sweats related to low estrogen. (Was wondering if she'd had other testing for this, though, e.g. FSH.) Don't know why perimenopause should be associated with reduced production necessarily.
Did wonder exactly what she meant about when her thyroid was last checked. I've now had two MOT who had thyroid functions done just before or after birth and it seemed OK, yet a few months later it was abnormal.
