I escaped to my room to nurse my overstimulated little guy the other day and
flipped on the TV for some white noise. Apparently there is a soap opera
called "Passions" and one of the characters has kidnapped another person's
baby. The baby has been very ill (obviously haven't watched this to know
what illness, etc.) and...the little blurb that stared me in the face the
other day when I turned the TV on has the birth mother *breastfeeding* the
kidnapped baby (who is really her own son) so that he will get better.
Anyone want to keep watching this bizarre-looking soap or follow it on-line?
The bit I saw made it seem as if this baby did not receive breastmilk that
he would die. The baby was being carted from the kidnapper's home to the
birth mother's home when he was hungry, but at least he was breastfeeding
and the birth mother kept exclaiming that it was "so wonderful"...although
she is considered mentally unbalanced after the supposed death of her baby.
I think that's the gist of it that I could get. There was also this strange
older lady with a baby (both seemed to have supernatural powers?) and she
was going about without bottles in sight. It's an NBC show, if anyone wants
to watch/follow while they're eating bon-bons in the middle of those
leisurely days! :-)
