I have found that even when my NICU mothers get a Depo shot at their 6 week
check up it still seems to affect their milk supply. I try to bring this up in
conversation before their check up so they are educated when they talk to
their OB. I can't believe how many physicians insist on giving the Depo shot
prior to discharge in spite of manufacturers recommendations. I would like to know
if anyone who deals with NICU mothers does see an increase in milk supply
after getting the shot.
