I think this is a good visual aid, and nice idea on the baby lotion!

We do something similar, without bottles though...we take little
balloons and fill them with regular baking flour to the size of a
newborn stomach. We've also done a little plastic baggie of flour for
the size of a 1-yo's stomach in the past.
It's a nice visual addition that helps people often.
