Hi Pat,
It's your "old" friend Alice here--as far as I know the only member of
OLCA from SC.
I had severe vertigo with my third and fourth, not diagnosed as Meniere's,
but bad enough to be in bed, on meds, and not able to drive for a long time.
Even had it while pregnant with my fourth, at age 43. The most important thing
is to get help with all other aspects of care, like changing diapers, getting
to the bathroom, meals, etc., and to continue breastfeeding because that will
be the only "norm" in an otherwise dizzy world. She would need all of this
help if she were bottle feeding. I nursed side-lying with my head elevated.
Let me know if I may be of further help.
Best wishes,
Alice Ernest IBCLC
Simpsonville, SC
