Here's the line that says it all: "Officials looked for items [to
eliminate] that would not harm patient care or safety."
So lactation support is considered a nicety and not an essential part
of mother-baby care. I imagine the lay breastfeeding supporters in
the community are going to be getting more calls, and more serious
calls.
