I made an error in my post about fingerfeeding. I stated that I use
a 5 Fr feeding tube. When I can get my hands on one, I prefer the
3.5 Fr since the smaller, the less likely baby will come to expect
the feel of the tube. It is less invasive in general to use the
smallest available. I guess I misspoke because the case I had used
it with that day I couldn't get my hands on a 3.5 and had to resort
to a 5. On a few occasions, mom's expressed colostrum may be too
thick for the 3.5 and then I have used the 5.
