A recent client had a small breast cancer, and did not wish to wean
before surgery. She sucessfully weaned on the affected breast and had a
lumpectomy and radiation without incident, while continuing to
breastfeed on the other breast. I have also had many moms have surgery
to their lactating breast, and while the incision oozes milk for awhile,
it does heal. Too bad this doctor strongarmed this grieving family.
