Hi all,
Someone posted about the JCP online catalog which had a picture of a model bottlefeeding in a nursing gown. I wrote a letter to them and this is the answer I got from them:
<<Thank you for taking the time to contact us with your comments about the maternity nursing gown. Very specifically, we attempt to avoid themes that would be considered offensive to JCPenney Customers. We sincerely regret that our ad has offended you. It was not our intent.
The JCPenney Company has a record of high standards in our approach to advertising and does its best to present our merchandise in a tasteful
and appropriate manner.
Thank you for your continued patronage. Again, we appreciate your
comments and feedback. You are a valued customer.
Thank you for shopping with JCPenney.>>
I feel very tempted to reply. Would they think I meant they should show a bare breast? I think just omitting the bottle would be just fine. Maybe that's what I'll say. Did anyone else write to them? What were the answers you got?
Cheers,
Nathalie C.
