Our C-Section breastfeed after surgery. I have had several moms come in for
Gall Bladder Surgery who were nursing within hours. But every once in a while
I have a mom call who tells us a surgeon or Anesthesia has told her not to
nurse for 24 hours after an outpatient Tubal Ligation! So it is very
inconsistent. I spoke with one Dr. and reminded him all the C-Section Mother's nurse so
why would we tell a mom who is having a Tubal not to nurse for so long? He
said he still would tell moms not to nurse for 24 hours. It makes NO sense. I
just keep hoping the mother's call or get lucky with a nurse who tells them
to.
