This scenario still sounds like a failure of the Medical Establishment. This one may even include the failure of community based organizations, the public school system, the church family....
Why was this mother so poorly informed that she would settle for the 4th best feeding option and view this as "easier"?
I truly cannot think of any situation where I would consider the mother a failure. Until we manage to eliminate direct marketing of poor feeding choices, and provide an enviroment where breastfeeding is accepted, conducted in public, and is the expected choice...
