I agree also - breastfeeding whether the mom is straight or gay is the same.
My issue is the "other" mother (not the birth mom) helping with the nursing
(since there are twin babies involved) . That situation is what came up for
us. They wanted to know if it was ok to do that and if there were any
consequences. Since both mothers were lactating naturally, (the "other" mom has a 16
mth old nursling), we couldn't see any reason she could not help out - as long
as the birth mothers supply is not confused. Having the other mom give
"appetizers and desserts" would be better than a "whole" meal. I told them that if
they were to supplement with formula it would be the same thing, BUT that the
other moms breast milk would be far superior for the twins. Thank you all for
your help. I will be busy research all your ideas sent to me. Thanks again,
