Dear Joylyn,
I am having a really tough time keeping this polite, with such a golden
opportunity (considering the "diagnosis") to say just exactly what I think
of the pediatrician.
However.
Some babies that age go for a week or more between poops. My first
did. Dr. Newman's Ultimate Bf Book has a discussion of this. (Maximum he
knows of in healthy baby: 31 days I think!) So do some other sources --
maybe the Sears breastfeeding book or baby book, certainly the BAB (briefly).
If a doctor manhandles a baby and does procedures on a baby without telling
the parents what he intends to do and without their consent, I should think
that constitutes battery and malpractice. Furthermore, he's ignorant.
There, I didn't swear at all.
