Hi All,
A mother of a 20 month old called me today and gave permission to post here. Her baby had coxsackie virus with blisters around the mouth. Lidocaine gel was used for comfort purposes. Now the mom has the blisters on her areola- essentially where the child's mouth goes. She is using the lido for comfort after. Is it ok for her to still be nursing with these lesions? Will they pass it back and forth? In Lawrence it says coxsackie is compatible with BF but not much else.
