Or even more accurately, formula-feeding *is linked to* a lower IQ, or to an
IQ deficit.

Incidentally, a national (US) IQ drop of 1 point is believed to result in a
drop in the US economy of about 1 percent.  "That's a lot," Joel Schwartz,
the researcher who came up with this a number of years ago, commented.

The comparison was hauled out a few years ago in a discussion about the
impact of minimal lead exposure.  Interesting that we never discuss the
impact of formula exposure.  Especially since we seem so eager to headline
the *possible* effects of flame retardant chemicals on breastmilk (our local
paper today).

Once again, formula wins from lack of media attention...
