if this story is true, i wonder if the baby could have ingested significant
amounts of the drug transdermally? it caught my attention that the articles
said the mother's friends put her money and drugs away in a safe. it has been my
experience ( as a former social worker, probation officer, wife of a cop AND
childhood observations) that if a meth user has money AND a safe in which to
put it, they are usually manufacturing on some level. even a novice meth
manufacturer knows overexposure can occur if they 'cook' and don't wear gloves, but
i have had quite a few cases where ppl did just that. so that makes me wonder
if a mother of a new baby was to do this and then handle the baby frequently -
- if this could have caused the toxic levels which killed him. my husband is
actually going to attend one of the very few meth lab training schools in the
country next month- i will be sure to have him ask this question!
~jacqui gruttadauria, who just had power restored yesterday and was also very
glad to still be bfing her boys who were otherwise surviving on pb&j's and
pretzels...
"bobo, what are you doing to deedle?"
"pankin him butt, mumma"
"bobo, we don't spank in this house"
"ony pank him outside, mumma?"
