I just came across a poem that my mother sent to me last year. It was
written by a friend of hers from her breast cancer support group. I
particularly like how she described the breast as a baby-feeder. I thought
you all might enjoy it.

Mammalian Dichotomy
Organic gland, a part of me,
Babies suckled, endless cycle
Generational continuum,
Nourishment ancestral,
Fundamental euphoria.
Oh! Betrayer! Carcinoma!
Disaster in former life-supporter,
Silent dragon that would destroy
This old worn-out life-giver,
It's destruction, my mutilation.
