I believe you can get 'organic' night clothes.  My daughters solved this by
using what we call insulated underwear, sort of a knit waffle weave to wear
under outdoor clothes in the winter.  They just used them for pjs.  When the
flame retartdant thing came out (years ago) as a safety additive we found it
made the fabric feel funny and itchy.  My one daughter's kids have eczema
problems (in spite of lengthy BF, but she wasn't Bf and neither was her
husband) so 100 % cotton was the general rule when they were young.
