Hello all! Just wanted to share a sad commentary on the public's perception of formula. I taught a breastfeeding class the other night and after it was over one of the dads-to-be asked me when I thought formula companies would have a formula that was better than breastmilk. I looked at him in shock and said "BETTER than breastmilk?" He said, "Yeah, what do you think? 5 years, 10 years?" I told him "Never!!!!" Well, he's convinced they will...even though I repeated the fact that formula contains no live cells, can't adjust to a baby's needs, etc., etc. He said they'll have an espresso machine-like contraption so that you can program baby's needs. My final comment was "Why would you want to?" I guess my class didn't help him much! :( Hopefully his baby will!
