I agree with Lyla, that even if the baby manages to breastfeed with a
tight frenulum, there could be other issues. I've seen many babies
manage after alterations to positioning and latch that help them get
more milk, only to have issues with the lower incisors causing mom pain,
or swallowing problems, or problems handling solids, or sleep apnea, or
crowded teeth, or reflux, or speech articulation errors. The parents
deserve the information on where to go to get the frenum evaluated, and
the potential reasons to do so.
