Two weeks from now I'll be leaving Connecticut to spend a couple weeks
in the US northwest, mostly around Seattle/Puget Sound, on vacation,
visiting friends etc. I have two open days, Aug 25-26, and would love to
see Evergreen Hospital, the BFHI hospital in Kirkland Washington. They
sound like they have a great model, both for their family centered
mother-baby dyad care, as well as for their NICU, which as I understand
it, is all completely single bed rooms with parental rooming-in.
Does anyone know of a contact person at Kirkland who might be interested
in an out of town visitor? I'm afraid they must be inundated.
Thanks, Tina Smillie, MD, IBCLC (pediatrician with specialty consulting
practice limited to breastfeeding medicine, x 7 yrs.)
