oh, this one melted my heart! what a precious memory for that mom at her
child's weaning!!
i had a hilarious one a few days ago when lactnet was discussing hunger in
newborns. someone finished their post w/ the query, 'what exactly makes babies
hungry?' or something similar. and my 3.5 yo was drawing in here while i was
online. so i asked him, 'deedle, what makes you hungry for moij?' (he was speech
delayed until about 3 and has always called bfing/milk, 'moij') he replied,
"when dose boobies always peekin at me, dat make me hungwy for moij!" haha, it
made me think of how i once read that the darkened areolae of nursing moms
signal to the infant like a flashing neon sign at a restaurant (breastaraunt?).
since i don't walk around topless much, i am left wondering if my son has x-ray
eyes or if just seeing the shape of my breasts under my shirt counts as them
peeking at him...
