I am under the impression that since circumcision causes shock and
trauma to the baby, in some cases it leads to breastfeeding failure
(see eg "Impact of Birthing Practices on Breastfeeding" by Mary
Kroeger and Linda J. Smith).

I am curious if this outcome occurs less (or more) frequently after a
ritual bris, than after the procedure done in a hospital?
