I tell parents that early feeding experiences are for practice, not
nutrition, baby is still getting most of their caloric needs from milk. I
don't know any really specifics (will have to investigate the baby food
aisle) but I don't think there is a significant amount of calories in a
tablespoon or two of string beans, carrots etc in little jars :-) I'd go
with the calorie dense ideas that have been expressed by others. Sincerely,
