Poor little baby probably still has some pain. Can you imagine having a
broken arm and clavicle? If you are sure he is transferring milk (and it
seems you are with the diaper count) and gaining, then I would investigate
ways to relieve his probable pain and ways to give his parents some rest
while still meeting his needs (good for them).
Ideas in no particular order: analgesic meds for baby, and/or
anti-inflammatory meds for baby, experiment with positions that seem most
comfortable for baby since some positions may cause pain, wearing baby in a
sling or other more suitable carrier that would facilitate comfort for his
particular injuries, co-sleeping, Dad sleeping with baby on his chest,
kangaroo carrying, co-bathing, gentle physical therapy or OT by a specialist
for babies. Has he been x-rayed to see if he is healing well and does he
possibly have any other injuries? Like maybe head/face/jaw problems? Hope
some of this was helpful.
