Hi, Kathleen,
Yes, I have had breast reduction surgery and have exclusively breastfeed
two children (it was necessary to supplement the first of my three
children). I have also worked with many, many BFAR mothers who have
breastfed exclusively. It is rare, but it does happen; most frequently in
mothers who have had liposuction or inferior pedicle surgeries, with
subsequent lactation experiences after recanalization and reinnervation
have occurred.
