I am so happy to see that this loop is still happening a week later! Thank
you all so much for your info and emails. Now I have to find time to process
all this info and see if I can get a research paper out of it.
The one couple I had worked with was in this situation ( the bio mom had
twins and the other mom was nursing a plump 16 month old). My advice/feeling was
that the other mom could definitely help with the twins --BUT the bio mom had
to give the meals ( the other mom could give "appetizers or desserts". ) So
far the twin which was losing weight is now gaining fine. As far as the
composition - I have not found any information on that - and my feeling was the other
mom's breastmilk has to be better for the other twin than supplementing with
formula. She would comfort one twin while the other was nursing.
