I think it would really be a benifit to our NICU mom's if there is
some legal way to provide it since it seems to have fewer side effects
than Reglan. I hope to present it to our Neonatologist once I have
more inforamation and answers to the legal issues
we have several compounding pharmacies in our area that will dispense
domperidone. it is listed in hales - not sure what you mean when you say
it is not? there are many doctors who will prescribe it no problem and a
few who will not, no matter how much info they are provided. i agree there
should be more information about it among hospitals and pediatricians. the
only issue is that most insurance won't pay for it, since it is not
authorized for that use in this country. many moms choose to order from NZ
(much cheaper) and i am not aware that there is any illegality about it. i
look forward to hearing other replies - thanks for asking the question!
