Thanks! It's also useful for showing how when the latch is central,
the baby feels the nipple on his tongue and starts sucking.....hard.
The resulting compression between tongue and the hard,
cartilagenous/bony uper jaw can be a real cause of severe damage to
the nipples. I get mothers (and fathers, in class)  to suck on their
thumbs when they are in 'wrong' and then when they are in 'right' and
they clearly feel the difference.
