And perhaps now we can have a follow-up story on the front page next
Saturday about a mother whose baby died in a crib, and could have
been saved if the mother had been right there next to him.
Silly me - that will never happen!
Any death of a baby is terrible, however, one case (or even a few
selected ones) should not make a population policy. These stories let
emotion get in the way of common sense, but they make a good story,
and that's all the newspaper is worried about.
